Ad-spirations Challenge at Gotta Pixel

I've fallen in love with soccer, a.k.a. football in most of the world, and am thoroughly enjoying all the matches being broadcast on television. I particularly am keen on Cristiano Ronaldo, #7 on the Portugal team. Oh, if only I was 30 years younger! I was sorry to see them lose their last game and kicked out of the World Cup race.

You can see the challenge here. We can choose to copy the layout or the colours or whatever we feel is appropriate for this challenge.

It's been awhile

With all the kitchen renovations going on, I've hardly had time to scrap this past couple of weeks. We're onto to the finishing touches now, so at least I can get into my craft room to sit at my computer. Anyway, here's my latest for the challenges at Gotta Pixel. This is for the Font Fever challenge using the font 'angelic war'.

Ava looks so forlorn about her missing shoe. Oh well, now's a good time for a pedicure I guess.

I used the kit, Cupid Struck, by Sweet Digi Scraps, a.k.a. SDS.

Challenge Layouts

This was for the Element Challenge. Required elements were something 'beachy'. What can be more beachy than Cuba?

This was for the Blast From the Past Challenge. Because June is host to Father's Day, we had to feature Dad in the layout.

And, finally, we have By The Numbers Challenge. If you can't guess, these are my beautiful grandchildren. Mayhem, Mischief, Mess and Madam a.k.a. Jackson, Owen, James & Ava!

Scraplift Challenge at Gotta Pixel

As suggested by the title, we were to scraplift a layout chosen by the challenge host. This month we had to use a lovely layout by Mamacole, aka coliescorner. You can see it below:

For my layout, I used the kit, Tool Shed, which just happens to be one of coliescorner's products.

Speed Scrap with Connie Prince

I love Friday evenings at Gotta Pixel. Connie Prince hosts a speed scrap int he chat room and over the course of an hour provides instructions for creating a layout. Everyone follows the same instructions, but every page is different......it's truly inspiring. Here's my layout from June 11th speed scrap.

Some pretty pictures!

This is my sister. She was a regular visitor to PEI when we lived in Summerside. It was always a treat to have family come to stay.

Kit: Footprints in the Sand by Captivated Visions

We went to this marine museum in PEI and there was a baby seal without a mama seal in sight. He looked so lost and forlorn I started making cooing noises. Well, the poor thing must have thought I was mama because as I walked around the pool, he followed me. I could hardly bring myself to leave.

Kit: Whale of a Good Time by Connie Prince

Each year Holland College, in PEI, sponsored a staff appreciation day for the faculty. This is a place by DH visited the first year he taught in PEI. It was a lovely little yellow house with amazing gardens.
