Speed Scrap with Connie Prince

Gotta Pixel has the bestest ever speed scraps on Friday nights. Connie allows plenty of time to get your layout completed. Tonight was no exception.

I love this picture of Kirsten and Owen. The love on Kirsten's face and the joy on Owen's face does my heart good.

I used the kit, It's A Boys World by Litabells Designs.

I miss you, Grandma!

so says Owen in this sweet video. And, we can also hear James' evil laugh! If you watch to the end (it's not very long), I get a lovely kiss from Owen.

Gotta Pixel Challenges

First up is "By The Numbers". I used a collab kit, Cops & Robbers, by Trixie Scraps Designs and Melissa Bennett.

The second challenge I completed today is the "Element" challenge. I used  Victoria Feemster's Writing Down The Middle template and several kits for this challenge:
Mye De Leon - Oh! The Boys - papers, SFOS - My Birthday - confetti-like elements, Armina & Connie Prince - Crash Boom Pow - elements, Bella Gypsy & Connie Prince - Jellybeanies - flowers/buttons.

Jack's Cake Fest

These kiddos love their cake. Jack was 4 years old last week and we celebrated plenty. Unfortunately, few photos, but a couple of movies which don't make for very good layouts in digiscrapping!

I used two kits by Sweet Digi Scraps (SDS): Photo Shoot and Another Year Older.

Owen's BIG Birthday Bash

This is Owen's last year at nursery school and he went out in style! All the children in his class were invited and I count at least 35 plates on this table. Thankfully, the nursery school has a room that parents can rent for such a blast. Kirsten & John went all out and hired entertainment for the kids and all parents who attended had their own room downstairs which the nursery staff supervised. Parents were allowed to watch the entertainment I guess, otherwise I wouldn't have these pictures.

Although there are no elements in this layout because I think it has plenty to look at, the papers are from the kit, Another Year Older, by Sweet Digi Scraps. You can see all products by SDS here.

Owen's 4th Birthday

Still in catch-up mode. Owen's birthday was June 7th and he looks quite chuffed in these photos.

Sorry for not much commentary, but it's 11:30 pm and I'm really tired. I've got another layout on the go for Owen's birthday, but it will have to wait until Sunday to be completed.

I'm a little behind on grandkids birthdays

Let's start with James' 2nd birthday which was on May 1st. In my defence, I only just received these pics and movies when Tiff returned from her vacation in England and brought me the thumbdrive with 200 pics and movies. And, because I'm up to my eyeballs in kitchen renovations, my creative mojo has deserted me for a bit. I was hoping to put a movie in here, but for some reason it won't upload. I'll check into that and come back if I figure it out. I did create a layout for James' birthday, though.

It's so hot here!

It's up into the mid-30s C. with the humidity, it feels like mid-40s. Too stinkin' hot for my liking. Yesterday, Andrew wanted Phil's help digging post holes and when they were finished, we schlepped over to Keith's house (Andrew's father-in-law) to play in the pool. What a gorgeous backyard he has. It's been years since I put my head underwater (afraid my hair will turn green or something), but yesterday I just walked off the edge of the deck into the pool and it was heavenly. Then, I got out to take pictures of Phil and Andrew having fun with Jack and Ava. Those two kids are like fish, they love, love, love the water!

I've been waiting for.....

...Kirsten to send me photos of Owen's and James' birthdays and their vacation to Disneyland Paris. Tiffany brought home a flash drive with hundreds of pics so they should keep me going for a while. Thanks, Kirsten. Here's the first and it was completed for a speed scrap at Gotta Pixel.

Owen is already on the 'run to fun' and James is right behind him! James looks so excited and I love his little face to bits.

I used the kit, A Magical Place, by Connie Prince along with some word art.
